SMALL BUT DEADLY Small but extremely dangerous and intelligent, the Blue-Ringed Octopus - found off the coast of Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Philippines - is one of the most toxic sea creatures on teh Great Barrier Reef - and in the world. Even though the octopus is only the size of a golf ball, there is no known antidote for its powerful venom. It causes motor paralysis, eventually leading to cardiac arrest.
